Ronald Turner Young, 71

Ronald Turner Young, age 71, widower of Laura Gail Jones Young, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

He was born on March 8, 1949 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Rayburn and Catherine Shelton Young. Ronald retired from the US Air Force in which he served in the Vietnam Conflict and later retired from the US Postal Service.

Survivors include his children, Veronica Saylor (Glenn), Isaac Carter Young, and Anna Young all of Nicholasville, Kentucky. Additional survivors include grandchildren, Toni L. Young-Graves (Jerry), Scott T. Young (Liz), Constance Crutchfield, Tori Garibaldi, and Austin Young, great grandchildren, Wyatt Turner Graves, Abigail Preston, Walker Lee Graves, Wiley Kyle Graves and Madison Young and a sister, Yvonne Walton, and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Preston.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Barnes officiating. Interment will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Bearers will be Jerry Graves, Justin Jones, Dooder Hager, Brian Bietz, Austin Young and Scott Young.
