After another successful tournament week in Nicholasville, the PGA Tour announced on Tuesday, July 23 that the ISCO Championship would be moving to Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville for next year’s championship.

Executive Director of Visit Jessamine; the Nicholasville, Wilmore, Jessamine County Joint Tourism Commission, Charla Reed, said having the ISCO Championship, formerly sponsored by Barbasol, has been “an honor. It has been a great event for Central Kentucky and our community. We are pleased it will stay in Kentucky and wish them well in Louisville.” 

Before this year’s tournament, Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ronda May told WEKU, a NPR-charter radio news station that serves Central and Eastern Kentucky, her thoughts.

“We have people that come and stay in our hotels. They stay in local Airbnbs. Then, of course, they venture out to eat, play, you know, different things around while they’re here,” adding that the county’s hotels and the restaurants that surround them are hugely impacted by the influx of visitors.

Since 2018, Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville has hosted the ISCO Championship, formerly sponsored by Barbasol. It wasn’t until June 5, 2024 that ISCO was announced as the championship’s sponsor. 

ISCO is a company based out of Louisville that stocks and sells piping materials.
