Judy Gayle Wilhoite Lowry, 69

On Thursday, March 4, 2021, Judy Gayle (Wilhoite) Lowry passed away at 7:10 PM at Baptist Hospital in Lexington Ky.

She was born on March 21,1950. Judy was the daughter of the late George Estill (Eggs)Wilhoite and the late Gertrude Oconnell (Chapman) Wilhoite. She was widowed by the late Forrest “Junie” Lamb. She was also preceded in death by her husband Thomas D. Stone.

She is survived by one daughter, Angela Michelle (Lamb) Raleigh, and preceded in death by one daughter Crystal Lynn (Stone) Cook, with whom she is now reunited in Heaven. She also has two granddaughters in which she played a major role in their upbringing; Rebel Gayle Raleigh and Presley Michelle Cook. Judy has eight great-grandchildren; one grandson and 7 granddaughters. All of whom she loved dearly. Judy spent almost every day of the past two years with one of her great-granddaughters and they had a special bond that would have to been seen to fully understand. Her name is Xeniah “Gracie girl” Stanley.

She is also survived by five siblings, a brother and four sisters; Anna Belle (Floyd), Shirley Jane (East), Connie Sue (Lamb), Scott Wilhoite & Stephanie Lynn (Lay). She had many nieces, two great nephews, and many other extended family members. She had one niece, Veronica Denise (Williams) who was more like a daughter to her, in many ways, than a niece. Judy was a kind and loving person who was fiercely loyal and protective of her family and loved ones.

She is finally at peace after a long period of physical, as well as emotional, pain. She truly never quite recovered from the loss of her youngest daughter Crystal at the age of thirty-two. Although she will be missed so very much, it gives her family great peace and comfort to know that she is finally reunited with her daughter Crystal in Heaven for all of eternity.

Serving as her Casketbearers were Scott Wilhoite, Daryl Cook, Glendon Lay, Wayne East, Peyton Slone, Jamie Coffman, Tyler Bonds and Paul Slone.

Funeral Services were held at Fender Funeral Directors Chapel in Lexington, KY on March 12, 2021. Her final resting place is Athens Boones Creek Cemetery, Athens, Fayette County, KY.
