Anne Mae Davis, 79

DAVIS, Anne Mae, 79, wife of John Davis, passed away peacefully in her home February 19, 2021 in Jessamine County, Kentucky.

Born March 6, 1941 in Patterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Ruth Tosche Reyer. She was a graduate of Shelton College, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in English/Literature. She taught elementary school in Alexandria, VA. In Kentucky she tutored students in English, Writing and Comprehension.

She was a member of Southland Christian Church, a gifted homemaker and educator. She dearly loved her family and her home, and had great appreciation for music, animals and birds.

Along with her husband, Anne is survived by four daughters: Karma Anne Nash of Tucson, AZ; Mishal Ruth (Shannon) Good of Grantsville, MD; Toscha Galloway Davis of Portland, OR; Holly Mae Davis of Nicholasville, KY and four grandchildren: Christian Jon Nash, Annie Christine Nash, Hannah Good and Isaac Good. She has two great grand children: Riley and Layla Nash. Anne helped raise three step children: Merritt James Davis of Woodbridge, VA; Katherine Elizabeth Davis of Washington, DC and Samuel Richard Davis of Arlington, VA.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Roland Reyer and Ronald Reyer.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on March 3, 2021 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road, with Pastor Jim Heidinger officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2 PM on March 3 at the funeral home.
