Safety First: NFD hosts Fire Prevention Open House

The Nicholasville Fire Department held its Fire Prevention Open House on Saturday morning behind Station No. 2. The event was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by kids and their parents alike.
This year’s open house featured an opportunity to tour fire trucks, as well as a law enforcement vehicles. Also on hand was a bounce house, the fire safety house, vendors, the children’s firefighter challenge and, of course, Sparky the Fire Dog.
