M.R. Bishop DMD and Associates announced last week that Diversicare of Nicholasville donated $1,000 to its 2018 Holiday Smiles Food Drive for Jessamine County residents in need during the holiday season.  Diversicare of Nicholasville Administrator Tom Davis and Clinical Liaison Susan Harris LPN presented the check to Jessamine Salvation Army representatives and Dr. Rebecca Green of M.R. Bishop DMD and Associates. The M.R. Bishop DMD and Associates Share a Smile Holiday Food Drive works with the Jessamine County Salvation Army and the Jessamine County Food Pantry (JCFP) to provide a Thanksgiving’s meal and enough staple type food to get entire families through the holiday season. 

“The holiday season can be difficult for families in need,” Food Drive organizer Terri Fischer-Ware said in a prepared statement. “We want to ease the worry of having enough food in the house, and the Holiday Smiles Food Drive is a great way to do that. Last year, with the help of our supporting sponsors as well as our wonderful patients and friends, the Holiday Food Drive provided food for approximately 1500 people, and we expect that number to grow even more this year.”
