Wilmore welcomes all yard sale enthusiasts to town for its 400 Mile Yard Sale.

The 400-mile yard sale is a weekend where communities set up stops along U.S. 68 throughout Kentucky. It’s the 20th year that Wilmore will be participating as the Jessamine County stop for the event.

Jessamine County Fiscal Court and the Nicholasville, Wilmore, and Jessamine County Joint Tourism Board sponsor the event.

Rain or shine, the event will occur from Thursday, June 6, to Sunday, June 9, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Vendors will set up at Servant Heart Farm on Harrodsburg Road, which provides extremely easy entry and exit from the grounds. Children are welcome, and pets on a leash are allowed.

The Wilmore Community Development Board Executive Director, Judy Woolums, said there’s something for everyone at the sale. “We will have a variety of everything. We will have new merchandise, old merchandise, junk merchandise, antiques, and collectables. We have one man, I call him Jerry the bottle man, he comes out of Lexington and brings a truck full of bottles he has unearthed and he is very popular. We will have vendors there with homemade jams and jellies. We will also have what I call the mantiques- old rusty tools and instruments that the men love.”

Food trucks will be available with chairs and tables so people can sit and enjoy their meals.

Woolums said there is still plenty of room for more vendors. “It’s a marvelous location and we welcome vendors. Right now the fastest way is they can either call or email me to get an application. There may be an application on the 400 mile website but let’s just cut all that and come straight to me. We can get an application out right away.”

Contact jwoolums@wilmore.org or call 859-333-1001 to receive an application and pay to be a vendor. The fees are unchanged from last year. All four days as a vendor cost $60.

No entry or parking fee is required, and plenty of parking is available. Past attendees have lauded the event organizers for having very clean portable restrooms.
