Raymond R. Lee, age 91, a lifelong resident of Nicholasville (Jessamine County) passed away at the University of Kentucky Hospital on Monday, January 15, 2024, from a short illness. He was born on May 6, 1932, in Waco, Kentucky to the late Edgar Lee and the late Lena Lutze Lee. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Christine Lee. He is survived by two sons, Donny Lee (Jan Eckler), and Mike Lee, two grandsons, Matthew Lee and Christopher Lee, and a great-grandson, Cameron Lee. Raymond was a farmer, avid builder, and woodworker. Raymond retired from UK after 40 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church for 71 years. Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM, Friday, January 19, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Floyd, Pastor Troy Morrison, Rev. Terry Moore, and Pastor Jim Milton officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Honorary bearers will be Nicholasville First Assembly of God Members.
