Danny Lee Dunaway, 70, husband of Vicki Jo Russell Dunaway, of Maxey Valley Road, Hustonville, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky on August 12, 1953, to the late Ernest and Naomi Hall Dunaway. Danny was a retired Veteran of the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife, Vicki, three daughters, Jeanna Michelle (Chad Durham) Dunaway, Virginia Faye Dunaway, and Danielle Lee (Matt) Dykes, four brothers, Odell Dunaway, Mike Dunaway, Gene (Liz) Dunaway, and Paul (Sue) Dunaway, two sisters, Kay (Eddie) Jacina, and Norma (Bob) Hellard, eight grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie, Brandon, Gunner, Jesse, Travis, Colton, and Jarvis, and eight great-grandchildren, Parker, Weston, Lucian, Whaylen, Anastasia, Ivorianna, Waylen, and Harlan. He is preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Dunaway, and nine brothers and sisters. Services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Brother Jay Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers will be Brandon McClure, Gunner Dykes, Travis Durham, Chad Durham, Jesse Dykes, Josh Trainer, and Matt Dykes. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
