A Nicholasville man faces several charges after being arrested blocking a local road clad only in his underpants, according to a social media post by the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy from the sheriff’s office arrived on Hoover Pike to find Todd Mitchell blocking both lanes of traffic due to vehicle trouble on June 15.

When the deputy arrived on the scene, Mitchell appeared to be under the influence and had assaulted another individual prior to his arrival, and when the deputy attempted to arrest Mitchell, he began to fight and resist. Numerous civilians who witnessed the incident jumped in to assist the deputy in completing the arrest.
