An inmate at the Jessamine County Detention Center was found unresponsive in his cell on Wednesday, August 10, at 3:45 p.m. 

Joshua Hager was housed at the Detention Center for charges of possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine) and failure to appear in Jessamine County District Court. 

The Nicholasville Police Department and the Jessamine County Coroner’s Office are investigating the cause and manner of death. The Jessamine County Detention Center staff will also conduct an internal investigation.
