Cecil Curtsinger, Jr. “C.J.,” 67, husband of Terry Moore Curtsinger, of Nicholasville, passed away peacefully with his loving wife in his arms Friday, December 31, 2021, at Baptist Health Lexington. He was born in Sycamore, Illinois, on December 5, 1954, to the late Cecil Curtsinger, Sr., and the late Ruby Carlton Curtsinger. C.J. was the owner and operator of C.J. Starbuses, Inc. and an Mt. Beulah United Methodist Church member. He is survived by two sons, Jason Curtsinger (Michelle) and John Curtsinger, and a brother, Dale Curtsinger (Kristen), six grandchildren, Ariel Edgington (Trent), Aubrey Curtsinger (Nathan Parker), Abigayle Curtsinger, Gavin Curtsinger, Madison Curtsinger, Nicholas Curtsinger, and two great-grandchildren, Mellody Edgington and Grayson Edgington. Services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor David Bardin and Zach Massengale officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be David Humphrey, Tony Robinson, Nathan Parker, Ethan Curd, Joe Locker, and Paul Locker. Honorary Bearers will be Eddie Locker, Gavin Curtsinger, David Marshall, Richard Collins, Clay Corman, Kevin Corman, Kirk Shackleford, Richard “Rat” Sandoff, Sean Hill, and many more that C.J. shared a personal relationship with. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. The family suggests donations to Mt. Beulah United Methodist Church and Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office Boys and Girls Ranch in lieu of flowers. Betts & West is honored to serve the Curtsinger family in their time of need.
