After decades on North Main Street, this week The Jessamine Journal opened its new office at 107 S. Main St. in Nicholasville.
The move will maintain the Journal’s presence in downtown Nicholasville as Jessamine County’s only newspaper.
“We are excited to be in this new location, which is even more convenient to all of the activity in downtown Nicholasville,” said Journal editor Jeff Moreland. “We hope this will be even more convenient to our customers as we continue to serve our community as the number one news source for Jessamine County.”
The Journal celebrates its 148th anniversary this year. It was founded in 1873 by J.M. Parish of Mount Sterling.
The Journal, along with The Winchester Sun, The Advocate-Messenger in Danville and The Interior Journal in Stanford, have been owned by Boone Newspapers Inc. since 2016.
Items for the newspaper staff may be left inside the slot by the front door.
