Bourbon man arrested with stolen chainsaws

Police arrested a man who allegedly stole two pole chain saws from Kentucky Utilities in Fayette County.
According to court documents, Nicholasville Police officers were contacted on Jan. 28 about the property owner and a Lexington Police officer following a suspect for the theft. A Nicholasville officer located the vehicle and stopped it for an expired registration plate.
During the traffic stop, the Lexington officer arrived and said he was investigating the theft of two pole chain saws from Kentucky Utilities. The saws, valued at $1,000 each, were located in the bed of the pickup truck and positively identified as those taken in the theft.
The driver, 63-year-old Larry Wayne Thornberry of Paris, was arrested and charged with failure to maintain insurance, no registration plate, driving on a suspended operator’s license and receiving stolen property.
