Police investigate domestic assault

Police arrested a Nicholasville woman after a physical assault at a residence.

According to police documents, officers were called to 100 Ross Court at 12:58 a.m. Jan. 14. The victim said he had just returned home and Valerie Lewis, 32, became irate and started grabbing and pulling on the victim’s clothes, including a key ring on a lanyard. The victim was pulled to the ground. When officers arrived, they found the victim with a bloody neck and bloody hands. Officers also found damage to the residence.

Lewis was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault.
