On Jan. 9, Nicholasville Police officers were called to Dollar General, 122 Edgewood Plaza, concerning a woman allegedly stealing items. The caller said the woman concealed items in her jacket and left the store without paying for the items. Officers located the woman walking outside the store. The woman, 41-year-old Sesha Grundy of 320 Rebel Road, said she took the items because she did not have any food. Officers found food items in her pants and jacket pockets. Grundy was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking. She was later served a warrant also charging her with theft by unlawful taking. The stolen items were valued at $27.70.
