Nicholasville man charged with DUI after traffic offenses

A reckless driver complaint turned into an arrest for multiple charges for Nicholasville Police.

According to court documents, officers spotted a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on U.S. 27 at 10:31 p.m. Dec. 31. After clocking the vehicle at 85 mph in a 55 mph zone, officers stopped the vehicle on Kohls Road.

The driver, later identified as Terrel Jamarr Combs of 128 Grinder Court, Nicholasville, refused to identify himself or speak with officers.

Officers noted a smell of alcohol around the vehicle and the driver. Combs was unsteady on his feet and was unable to recall answers he had already given, officers said.

Combs was arrested and charged with speeding, reckless driving, driving under the influence, failure to maintain insurance and failure to notify state of address change.
