Nicholasville man arrested for heroin
Timothy Taylor, 51, of 123 Jefferson St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 10 for possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
While patrolling North Main Street, officers observed Taylor walking northbound and confirmed there was an open warrant for his arrest. Taylor advised officers he had a glass pipe in his pocket and that he may have something in his other pocket, although advised officers it was fake, according to the citation.
Officers confiscated the pipe and a rolled-up piece of paper containing suspected heroin in his other pocket. Taylor was arrested and taken to the Jessamine County Detention Center.

Nicholasville man arrested for methamphetamine
Billy R. Woods, 57, of 400 Foxwood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 16 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and promoting contraband, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
While patrolling East Brown Street, officers located Woods who had an active warrant out for his arrest. While being booked into the local detention center, the arresting officer was made aware of a small bag containing a crystal-like substance in the area where Woods had been sitting. Surveillance footage showed the bag fall out of Woods pocket. When asked about the bag, Woods allegedly said, “I guess so.” He was booked into the Jessamine County Detention Center.

Nicholasville woman arrested for methamphetamine
Carolena R. Baker, 37, of 122 Walker Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 10 for DUI, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to McDonalds in reference to an unresponsive female. Baker was observed in a parking space with her vehicle still running. Officers attempted to wake her by knocking on her window, and Baker was described as having blood shot eyes and dazed, according to the citation.
A field sobriety test was performed, which she failed. After being placed under arrest, two glass pipes containing suspected methamphetamine were located inside her vehicle. Inside a large tin can was a crystal-like substance. Baker allegedly told officers the substance was methamphetamine and that she had been using it prior to her arrest. She was transported to St. Joseph Jessamine for medical clearance before being transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for marijuana
Jason Green, 42, of 27 Betsey Way in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 17 for trafficking in marijuana, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Green was seen walking through Edgewood Baptist parking lot and it was confirmed he had two active warrants for his arrest. After being stopped, officers located one ounce of marijuana and several small bags in his pocket, according to the citation.
Green was arrested and taken to the Jessamine County Detention Center.

Man arrested for heroin
William Burgin, 31, address unknown, was arrested Oct. 10 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol) and possession of a controlled substance (heroin), according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.
Burgin was observed by officers and was described as fidgety, unable to stand still and having difficulty standing. He was asked how he was going to get home, and allegedly stated he was going to drive. He was arrested and found to be in possession of two paper packets containing heroin.
Burgin was taken to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

— Carrie Elizabeth Dunham, 41, of 112 Amburgey Circle in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 10 for DUI and prescription not in proper container.
— Tierra Finisson, 22, of 110 N. Fourth St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 11 for alcohol intoxication in a public place, disorderly conduct, fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest.
— Stephen Dale Perkins, 45, of 255 Williamsburg Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 11 for possession of a controlled substance (opiates) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
— Mathew W. Hammons, 35, of 402 Broadway St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 11 for fourth-degree assault.
— Anita Wilson, 46, of 256 Blueberry St. Apt. 18 in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 11 for fraudulent use of a credit card and failure to appear.
— Dondre M. Frank, 25, of 124 Catriona Drive in Daytona Beach, Florida, was arrested Oct. 11 for speeding 22 mph over the speed limit, DUI and possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle.
— Jacob Morgan, 30, of 219 Aberdeen Drive in Lexington, was arrested Oct. 11 for speeding 16 mph over the limit and DUI.
— James Allen Preston, 31, of 3621 Beachwood Circle in Lexington, was arrested Oct. 11 for speeding 16 mph over the limit, DUI and fleeing or evading police.
— Stephen Dale Perkins, 45, of 255 Williamsburg Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 11 for fraudulent use of a credit card.
— Joyce Kathleen Bradley, 68, of 505 Alta Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 11 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
— Yuriy Vitalievic Stepanchuk, 25, of 500 Corman Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Oct. 11 for failure to maintain required insurance, no registration plates, disregarding stop sign and failure to register motor vehicle.
