In the first true home game for the West Jessamine Colts, the team was unable to score as Bryan Station rolled to a 27-0 victory, dropping the Colts to 0-2 on the year.
The Defenders lived up to their name as they held the Colts to only 109 yards on 40 carries, and 53 yards on 6-13 passing. West had a difficult time slowing down Bryan Station’s running game as well, surrendering 259 yards on 34 rushes, three of which went for scores.
The Colts did manage to get two interceptions, one by Charlie Habash for 34 yards and another by Ian Fain for five.
Junior linebacker Caden Dowlen led the way in tackles for West Jessamine, amassing 14 total tackles, eight of which were solo.
This Friday, the Colts will look to earn their first victory on the year as they welcome Lincoln County to Nicholasville at 7:30 p.m.
