Scott Murphy, branch manager for Whayne Supply, and Ray Genet, technical recruiter for Whayne Supply, presented Chris Newton, one of two of the diesel technology instructors for Jessamine Career and Technology Center, with a $500 check for JCTC’s Diesel Mechanic Center on July 31. The money is meant to be used to apply for a matching grant through Caterpillar Inc. for an additional $500 and also is hoped to go toward supplies and tooling for the diesel program.
