Annual fair comes to town next week

The Jessamine County fair is scheduled for July 8 – 13 at 100 Park Drive in Nicholasville.
Motorsports include a garden tractor pull, outlaw truck/tractor pull, backseat driving contest, demolition derby, mud run and a new ATV drag racing event. Events begin at 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; 7 p.m. Friday and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Pageants begin Monday with Little Miss Jessamine at 6:30 p.m., followed by Miss Jessamine Cunty at 8:30 p.m.
All Beauty and Smiles pageant is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday. Wednesday pageants include Little Miss and Mister at 6:30 p.m. followed by Miss Teen at 8:30 p.m.
Thursday night includes Miss Preteen at 6:30 p.m. and Miss Jessamine County at 8:30 p.m. which will serve at the official stat preliminary.
Tiny Tots will take place Friday at 6:30 p.m. with the Baby Show scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Agriculture, floriculture, hearth and home shows will take place throughout the week starting Sunday, July 7.

These shows include 4-H exhibits, hearth and home, floriculture, crop show, garden show, horticulture, mechanics, beef show, petting zoo all week with free pony rides this year, goat show, youth market lamb show, pony and mule pull, horse pull, pet show and dairy show.
The annual fair will also include contest and events.
These include a dunking booth where all proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army, senior citizens, veterans and persons with disabilities day, backseat driving contest, USWF Pro Wrestling, greased pig contest, kiddie tractor pull and Judge Executive David West annual picnic.
The fair will also include amusement park rides brought to Jessamine County by James Gang Amusements, as well as vendors and crafts.
