On June 6, First Southern National Bank presented checks totaling $25,200 to Kentucky United Methodist Children’s Homes, the Jessamine County Food Pantry and Lord’s Legacy Life Ministries, Inc.
More than 60 chefs – including local government officials and representatives from community churches, banks and local restaurants – prepared and served their dishes to approximately 1,000 attendees.
Attendees bid on over 200 silent auction items, as well as four live auctions, two raffles and a “split the pot.”
“We are thrilled with the success of this year’s Taste of Jessamine County and are thankful to our community for their support of this event, year after year.” said Sam Lee, First Southern Community President. “This was our most successful fundraising year to date. We are already looking forward to next year.”
Next year’s event will be held Friday, May 8, in the RJ Corman Hangar 2 in Nicholasville.
