Nicholasville Tire and Service prides itself on quality work at a fair price in a timely manner

Since last June, Nicholasville Tire and Service has been working hard to serve the Jessamine County community.
Locally owned and operated by Eric West, the shop is located at 916 S. Main St. in Nicholasville.
West had been part-owner of Big O Tire in Lebanon for 10 years prior to opening shop in Nicholasville, although his home is in Jessamine County. West said when the lease was up on his Big O Tire property in Lebanon, he decided the time was right to start his own business in the town that is his home.
The shop is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and currently closed Sunday.
“It just made sense to bring my knowledge and experience and start my own business in Nicholasville. My kids have been raised here. They go to school here. We all have friends here. It’s our home,” West said.
Orlando Hicks has been with Nicholasville Tire & Service since it opened. “We’re a full-service operation. We don’t just sell tires. We service heat and air units on vehicles, do tire alignments and rotation, brakes, suspension, tune-ups as well as minor car service and repairs,” Orlando said.
Although he is in his sixties, Senior Technician Jim Hoskins, was willing to follow West in his new venture.
“Eric is a really good guy to work for,” Hoskins said. “I commute from Lebanon nearly an hour each way every day. I wouldn’t do that if I didn’t love what I do and the company I work for.”
A total of four employees work for Nicholasville Tire & Service. All of which are above middle-aged.
“All combined, we have over one-hundred years of experience. I believe that with experience and longevity comes knowledge and we use our knowledge to provide our customers with the most beneficial services for their needs. It is our goal to give them the best possible experience in a timely manner,” West said.
West said friends and neighbors know they can trust his shop to do a good job at the best possible price and in a timely manner. “They trust us,” West said. “I look forward to serving the Nicholasville community for many years to come.”
