Nannie Bell Stinnett
Nov. 6, 1924 – April 7, 2019
Nannie Bell Stinnett, 94, wife of the late W.I. “Dubb” Stinnett, of Union Mill Road, Nicholasville, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019.
Born in Jessamine County on Nov. 6, 1924 to Riley and Linda Jane Locker Hager she was the owner and operator of Stinnett’s Grocery. She was also a lifetime member of Antioch Christian Church. She is survived by six children, Wallace (Betty) Stinnett, Wayne (RoAnn) Stinnett, Sheila Chatfield, Mary “Tylie” Arnold, William Stinnett and David (Deborah) Stinnett, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by nine siblings and one great grandchild, Chandler Flora.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Clint Hurt, Bro. Bill Bales, Pastor Wayne Johns and Pastor Ron Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as Bearers and Honorary Bearers will be all grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 3-8 at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.BettsandWest.com.
Clyde L. Vinson
Nov. 28, 1947 – Dec.24, 2018
Cyde L. Vinson, Jr., “Louie” was born in Hustonville, Ky., to the late Clyde Louis Vinson Sr. and Dorothy Hogue Vinson. He last resided in Murray, Ky.
Survivors include his beloved daughter and her family, Jessica (Christopher) Davidson and the greatest gift of all, his grandson, Reese Davidson, of Alabama, two sisters, Edith Vinson (Lexington) and Janet (James) Griffin (Florida), three brothers, David (Chris) Vinson (Minnesota), Michael (Sandi) Vinson (Woodford County), John (Wanda) Vinson (Lexington). Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.
After his graduation from JCHS in 1966 he was trained in electronics, Louie returned to his love for cooking as a career. He trained as a cook with Chef Pete Sears in Nicholasville, Kentucky, Louie went on to serve as restaurant manager for Kentucky state parks cooking for masses of people, Flynn’s Restaurant in Frankfort, returned to the state park system, and finally retired as a tugboat cook for its small crew.
Memorial service at the Vinson Family Farm on April 13, 2019 where Louie often would go for R&R, just a mile or two from his birthplace, where family will join for lunch, visitation and to share stories of their beloved father, brother and grandfather, done Vinson style with food, maybe a fishing pole, and lots of laughter, Gone, but never forgotten.

Wendy Robinson, 41, passed away March 28, 2019. A celebration of her life is being planned for a later date.
