Nicholasville man arrested for cocaine

Edgar Perez-Contreras, 40, of 110 N. Fourth St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 12 for tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.

During a traffic stop, where Perez-Contreras was a passenger, officers saw him stuff an object under his seat. After being removed from the vehicle, a bag containing 1.45 grams of suspected cocaine was located exactly where Perez-Contreras was seen stuffing the object.

Perez-Contreras was arrested and taken to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Lawrenceburg man arrested for DUI

Adam Noe, 36, of 1052 Alexandria Drive in Lawrenceburg, was arrested Jan. 9 for DUI and failure to maintain required insurance, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to Danville Road and North Main Street in reference to a vehicle that was seen swerving all over the road and reportedly had gone into the grass. A description of the vehicle was given, and the citation said this was the second call the NPD had received about the vehicle in 30-minutes.

Noe was discovered in the vehicle, in the driver’s seat with his seat belt on and a pint of vodka in his lap. At Noe’s feet was a piece of  a straw and half a pill, appearing to be Xanax, according to the citation.

A field sobriety test was performed which Noe failed. Noe advised officers he had drank a large shot of vodka, “probably” snorted half of a Xanax, took Nyquil and several medications. Noe also said he had been driving and admitted driving to the location he was found at. The pint of vodka was half empty, and several more Xanax pills were found in the passenger seat.

Noe was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville woman arrested for promoting contraband

Regena B. Vincent, 37, of 34 Pinegrove Circle in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 12 for promoting contraband and possession of a controlled substance, according to a citation released by the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office.

Vincent was brought to the Jessamine County Detention Center for a bench warrant. While conducting a strip search, deputies found a folded piece of paper containing a white powdery substance. Vincent allegedly told officers the substance was “probably” methamphetamine.

Man arrested for marijuana

Donald Taylor, 23, address unknown, was arrested Jan. 8 for theft of identity of another without consent, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

During a traffic stop where Taylor was a passenger, Taylor allegedly gave officers false birthday information when asked. It was also confirmed Taylor had a warrant out for his arrest at the time. After being detained, Taylor allegedly admitted to giving officers false identifying information. After a search was conducted, Taylor was found to be in possession of marijuana, a small metal clip and several syringes.

Taylor was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for heroin

James M. Huff, 33, of 506 John Sutherland Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 13 for possession of a controlled substance (heroin), according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Huff was allegedly a wanted subject at the above listed address. When officers arrived, Huff was found in the bathroom of the residence. When he left the bathroom to get clothes, officers allegedly found heroin folded up in a piece of paper in Huff’s cigarette carton in the bathroom.

Huff was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

— Robert T. Young,27, of 144 Eaglenest Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 7 for non-payment of court costs.

— Tammy S. Preston, 49, of 104 Stratton Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 7 for failure to appear.

— Anthony Wayne Green, 42, of 396 Hartley Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 8 for violation of a Kentucky emergency protection order.

— Abigail R. Bush, 20, of 48 Flagship in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 8 for failure to appear.

— Nathan Ancel Shaw, 26, of 239 McDaniel Drive Apt. 8 in Richmond, was arrested Jan. 8 for failure to appear.

— Antonio D. Winkerfield, 40, of 269 Grinder Court in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 8 for failure to appear, DUI, theft of identity of another without consent and operating on a suspended or revoked license.

— Donald Taylor, 23, address unknown, was arrested Jan. 8 for failure to appear and theft by unlawful taking (firearm).

— Mary Cook, 34, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 9 for failure to pay.

— Crystal M. Ray, 43, of 122 Lynnwood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 9 for DUI.

— David B. Hurt, 45, of 102 Meadow Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 9 for receiving stolen property under $500.

— Britney E. Brown, 27, address unknown, was arrested Jan. 9 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol).

— Donald Curtis, 61, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 10 for theft of mail matter, fleeing or evading police and disrupting traffic.

— Bruce Malcahy, 56, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 10 for theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $10,000.

— Susan Taylor, 50, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 10 for theft of identity of another without consent, possession of a controlled substance (heroin), no operator’s license and failure to maintain required insurance.

— Kristen Meece, 31, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 10 for promoting contraband.

— Jeremey Chaney, 41, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 10 for first-degree burglary and resisting arrest.

— Brandon Pennington, 31, of 527 Bellplace in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 10 for failure to pay.

— Trevor Workman, 22, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Jan. 10 for failure to appear.

— Brian George Day, 36, of 699 Perryville Road in Harrodsburg, was arrested Jan. 12 for fourth-degree assault.

— Willie Ray Coulter, 45, of 118 Everygreen Court in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 12 for fourth-degree assault and alcohol intoxication in a public place.

— Mirian G. Ward, 19, of 2445 La Cross Court in Lexington, was arrested Jan. 12 for disregarding a traffic light, failure to surrender suspended license, operating on a suspended or revoked license, DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to maintain required insurance.

— Jason D. Ramsey, 33, of 212 Twin Acres Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 13 for a parole violation.

— Jeremie T. Perry, 38, of 720 S. Main St. Apt. 15 in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 13 for no registration plates, failure to maintain required insurance, operating on a suspended or revoked license and DUI.

— James Morris, 57, of 33 Williams Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 13 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol).

— Brandon S. Morris, 30, address unknown, was arrested Jan. 13 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol).

— Joshua Franklin Graham, 33, of 61 Canoe Creek in Lancaster, was arrested Jan. 13 for non-payment of court costs.

— Virsil Preston, 54, of 200 Hill N Dale in Nicholasville, was arrested Jan. 14 for a probation violation.
