“We are thrilled to celebrate 10 years in Jessamine County and invite our patients, their families and other community members to stop by to celebrate with us as we mark this wonderful milestone,” said Greg Giles, marketing director for clinical services at Saint Joseph Jessamine. “We cannot thank our philanthropic supporters, including the late RJ Corman, enough for making this facility possible and helping us bring the very best technology available to Jessamine County. We look forward to many more years serving patients in this area.”

Opening in 2009, the Saint Joseph Jessamine center became the first and only full-service 24/7 emergency center facility serving Jessamine County.

In 2016, the facility was recognized as one of the best places to work in Kentucky.

In addition to the services the facility offers local residents, the ambulatory care center also serves Boyle, Fayette and Garrard counties.

“It is exciting to have been here for 10 years and be able to provide the number of services to the community that we do,” Director of Operations Dan Andrews said. “We have grown over those 10 years and we have been able to add more services. We have been embraced by the community and are (looked at as) a leader in health care services in this area.”

Over the last decade, the center has seen approximately 240,000 visitors in its emergency room, 400,000 emergency department and outpatient laboratory tests have been performed, 6,700 procedures have been performed each year for rehabilitation services and 17,000 examinations have also been performed on an annual basis for radiology services.

“We are most proud of our ability to integrate into the community,” Andrews said. “We are involved in community events, social events, education for the community and our partnership with other agencies like the Jessamine County Health Department has allowed us to improve the overall health of the citizens in this area.”

The hospital offers a range of services to residents which include 24/7 emergency care, digital mammography, gynecology services, imaging, laboratory services, occupational medicine, pediatrics, primary care as well as physical, occupational and speech therapy.

“Health care is a business in very interesting times,” Andrews said. “We are looking to grow and bring additional specialty services to the area. We are looking to expand our woman’s care services, family practice and things like orthopedics over the next 10 or more years as we are moving forward.”

The facility is also part of KentuckyOne Health and the Catholic Health Initiative, which is one of the largest health systems in the state.

“We want to say thanks to the community, business leaders, citizens and the folks that use our services,” Andrews said. “It is our mission to be able to provide the care to the folks of this area and hopefully they feel we are meeting their needs.”
