Woman arrested for public intoxication

Brittany E. Brown, 27, address unknown, was arrested Dec. 27 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol), according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to Cato’s on South Main Street in reference to a female subject who was “talking out of her head.” She was allegedly saying people were following her, according to the citation.

Brown told officers she had taken methamphetamine two days prior. She was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for methamphetamine, stolen vehicle

Shannon Hurt, 36, of 215 E. Main St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Dec. 20 for receiving stolen property under $10,000, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

While officers were patrolling the area of South First Street, a stolen vehicle was seen in the driveway of the above  address. Hurt was the suspect in the theft of the vehicle and told officers he had been driving the vehicle that day and had the key to the vehicle in his pocket.

After placing Hurt under arrest, two separate packages of suspected methamphetamine were located on Hurt with a glass smoking pipe.

Hurt was transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for heroin

Robert R. Hicks, 42, of 3369 Union Mill Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Dec. 23 for possession of a controlled substance (heroin), according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Hicks was a passenger in a vehicle officers had conducted a traffic stop on. After asking for identification, officers were able to find Hicks had five active warrants for his arrest.

Upon searching Hicks, officers located a white powdery substance. Hicks said the substance was heroin, he had a problem and was trying to get himself off of it.

Hicks was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Lexington man arrested for methamphetamine, marijuana

Michael D. Rowe, 32, of 808 Malabu Drive Apt. 1 in Lexington, was arrested Dec. 20 for operating on a suspended or revoked license, trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers responded to Kohl’s in reference to a shoplifter. The shoplifter allegedly got into a gray SUV, according to Kohl’s staff. When officers approached the SUV, Rowe rolled down the driver’s window.

According to the citation, a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. Rowe and a female subject were detained and the vehicle was searched. Rowe allegedly told officers he was in possession of marijuana. A search resulted in the confiscation of small bags with a red logo, a bag strapped to Rowe’s wrist containing suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, paraphernalia and cash.

Under one of the seats in the vehicle, a scale was found with suspected residue on it.

Rowe was asked if he had any other drugs on him, which he allegedly told the officer no. After entering the detention center, a small bag containing heroin allegedly fell from Rowe, according to the citation.

— Gilberto N. Silva-ane, 55, of 826 Ward Drive in Lexington, was arrested Dec. 20 for failure to appear.

— Richie Edington, 36, of 507 Hampton Way in Richmond, was arrested Dec. 20 on a Fayette County warrant.

— Sarah Tumor Lykins, 30, of 507 Hampton Way in Richmond, was arrested Dec. 20 on a Fayette County warrant.

— Jeremy R. Thacker, 33, of 425 Hartley Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Dec. 20 for failure to appear.

— Mary B. Cook, 33, of 429 Kevin Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Dec. 20 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol).

— Leonard Ray Russell, 65, of 303 Mary Rose Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested Dec. 20 for DUI and improper turn signal.

— Robert Isaac Bright, 28, of 229 Garnet Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Dec. 20 for fourth-degree assault.

— Eric R. Lawson, 52, of 701 N. Second St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Dec. 20 for fourth-degree assault.

— Michael D. Rowe, 32, of 808 Malabu Drive Apt. 1 in Lexington, was arrested Dec. 20 for contempt of court.

— Crystal Begley, 41, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Dec. 21 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), promoting contraband, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).

— John Preston, 57, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Dec. 21 for rape, sodomy and sexual abuse.

— John Winkle, 35, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Dec. 21 for wanton endangerment and possession of a firearm.

— Shannon Hall, 45, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Dec. 21 for criminal possession of a forged instrument.

— Roger A. Fairchild, 37, of 117 Olive Court in Nicholasville, was arrested Dec. 27 for failure to appear.

— Billy F. Goforth, 58, of 231 Green Street in Nicholasville, was arrested Dec. 27 for failure to appear.
