Nicholasville man arrested for methamphetamine

Jason M. Hammons, 36, of 402 Broadway St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 5 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers responded to McDonald and Johnson Streets in reference to Hammons having an open warrant for his arrest.

After being arrested, a search resulted in the confiscation of a cigarette pack with suspected methamphetamine inside. After being read his Miranda rights, Hammons allegedly told officers the substance was methamphetamine. He was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville woman arrested for promoting contraband

Mary Beth Cook, 33, of 429 Kevin Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 11 for theft by unlawful taking under $500 and first-degree promoting contraband, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Cook was seen by Walmart staff concealing items and attempting to not pay for them. She was confronted about the concealed items at which time she left the property and was later found by officers in the parking lot of Fazoli’s with the three bags of merchandise.

Cook was placed under arrest and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center. Upon arrival, the arresting officer asked Cook if she had any contraband on her. She allegedly told the officers “no.” When Cook was searched at the detention center, a syringe was located in the back pocket of her jeans, according to the citation.

Nichoalsville woman arrested for careless driving of a bicycle

Julie Amber Megerle, 39, of 111 Briarwood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 7 for careless driving and operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicants, according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Megerle was seen riding a bicycle on Miles Road when she allegedly was having trouble maneuvering her bicycle and was seen swerving back and forth from the curb to the middle of the road, according to the citation.

Megerle allegedly swerved her bicycle in front of the police cruiser. She was described as having slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and unsteady on her feet. A field sobriety test was performed which Megerle failed.

Mergele was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for heroin

Christopher Lee Hulett, 39, of 304 Locust Heights in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 11 for public intoxication (excluding alcohol) and possession of a controlled substance (heroin), according to a citation released by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to Ash Court in reference to a subject knocking on the back door of a residence, whom the homeowners did not recognize. Officers located Hulett behind the residence peeking through a fence.

Officers proceeded to give Hulett orders to show his hands and slowly walk towards them, according to the citation. Hulett was observed dropping a phone and one other item. He was described as very fidgety, having fast speech, nervous and having constricted pupils.

Hulett’s dropped items were recovered, and it was determined the item he dropped along with his phone was heroin.

Hulett was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Nicholasville man arrested for DUI

Van Patrick Edmunson, 49, of 1315 Hunters Ferry in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 6 for DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to 806 S. Main St. in reference to Edmunson inside the Elkhorn Water District building and observed by staff as unable to walk without stumbling who further stated they saw Edmunson asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle.

When officers arrived, Edmunson had already left the scene and was seen traveling on Edgewood Drive towards Shun. Edmunson failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Edgewood and Bell Chase, according to the citation, but then came to a stop in the middle of the intersection.

After initiating a traffic stop, Edmunson was described as having slurred speech. Upon conducting a field sobriety test, Edmunson was told several times to keep his hands out of his pockets and failed to do so, according to the citation.

Upon consent from Edmunson for a search, a marijuana pipe was located in his front left pocket. Edmunson admitted there was marijuana inside the pipe. He was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

 

The following citations were released by the Nicholasville Police Department, the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office and the Wilmore Police Department.

— Joshua Loyd Martin, 46, of 308 E. Main St. in Wilmore was arrested for criminal possession of a forged instrument.

— Paul Schember, 72, of 204 E. Linden Drive, was arrested for 17 counts of failure to appear.

— Hunter Scott, 31, of 308 E. Main St. in Wilmore, was arrested for driving on a suspended license, no insurance and speeding 13-mph over the limit.

— Jonathan Perry, 40, of 20 W. Barr St., was arrested for violation of a domestic violence order.

— Joanna Lister, 47, of 117 Briarwood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested for failure to pay and a first and second offense of alcohol intoxication in a public place.

— Trey Cocanougher, 31, of 389 Central Pike in Harrodsburg, was arrested for driving on a DUI suspended license (multiple violations), failure to produce insurance and failure to wear a seat belt.

— David E. Cole, 41, of 514 Alta Ave. In Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 5 for a probation violation (felony offense).

— Brittany C. Baker, 26, of 104 S. Central Ave. in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 5 for third-degree burglary.

— Jason M. Hammons, 36, of 402 Broadway St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 5 for failure to appear.

— Courtney Reliford, 27, of 737 Milder creek Road in Campbellsburg, was arrested Nov. 5 for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

— Lacy Kay Taylor, 28, of 109 Lynnwoood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 5 for failure to appear.

— Carl E. Mason, 55, of 455 Sandalwood Drive in Lexington, was arrested Nov. 5 for DUI, no registration plates, failure to maintain required insurance, operating on a suspended or revoked license, a probation violation and non-payment of court costs.

— David R. Gannon, 48, of 206 Marble Creek Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 5 for DUI and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.

— Caulin Miller, 20, of 301 Edwards Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 6 for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

— Tievva Blevins, 44, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Nov. 6 for violations of conditions of release.

— Jimmie Albertson, 41, of 109 Wolfe St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 6 for failure to appear.

— William C. Cunliffe, 31, of 338 Ethel Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 7 on a Fayette County and Jessamine County warrant.

— Brian Goldey, 43, of 365 Ethel Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 7 for theft by unlawful taking of a firearm and theft by unlawful taking of contents from a vehicle under $500.

— Tamara Mucker, 39, of 707 E. Chestnut in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 7 for a probation violation.

— Alissa Youngblood, 29, of 3452 Keene Troy Pike in Versailles, was arrested Nov. 7 for failure to appear.

— Ashley Nicole Atkins, 28, of 201 N. Street Apt. 3 in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 7 for failure to appear.

— Anthony Coates, 39, of 66 Cool Breeze Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 8 for failure to appear.

— John M. Curry, 39, of 2084 Main St. in Willisburg, was arrested Nov. 8 for failure to appear.

— Chase Winnings, 20, of 1523 Gaidry Road in Lexington, was arrested Nov. 8 for theft by unlawful taking under $500 and public intoxication (excluding alcohol).

— Aaron Domonic Butler, 28, of 3328 Smoky Mountain Drive in Lexington, was arrested Nov. 8 for DUI, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, instructional permit violations and failure to maintain required insurance.

— Baylee N. Frederick, 18, address unknown, was arrested Nov. 8 for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

— Erin Wells, 38, of 2340 Bowin in Stanford, was arrested Nov. 9 on a Lincoln County warrant.

— Alyssa Rayburn, 20, of 539 Chestnut St. Apt. B in Lexington, was arrested Nov. 9 for failure to appear.

— Brittany N. Parks, 30, of 128 Dunlap Drive in Georgetown, was arrested Nov. 9 for menacing.

— William R. Neujahr, 40, of 110 Allison Circle in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 9 for violation of conditions of release.

— Tiffany Kenley Sunbom, 38, of 810 Tyrone Pike Lot 36 in Versailles, was arrested Nov. 9 for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

— Mark Ballard, 40, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Nov. 10 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree promoting contraband.

— Nicole Burton, 34, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested Nov. 10 for possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— Brittany Jewel Rowe, 27, of 421 Edgewood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 10 for non-payment of court costs.

— Eric L. Rodgers, 28, of 113 Chestnut St. in Versailles, was arrested Nov. 10 for non-payment of court costs.

— Shane E. Detillion, 41, of 11570 Kile Road in Chardon, Ohio, was arrested Nov. 10 for failure to appear.

— Joseph J. Bell, 41, of 129 Whaley Court in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 11 for failure to appear.

— Jordan Rector, 30, address unknown, was arrested Nov. 11 for failure to appear.

— David H. Hafley, 51, of 501 W. Maple in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 11 for failure to appear.

— Aaron McElroy, 24, address unknown, was arrested Nov. 11 for third-degree criminal trespassing, carrying a concealed weapon and failure to appear.

— Wesley Thornton, 44, of 5497 Harrodsburg Road in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 12 for failure to appear.

— Michael Todd Burlingame, 29, of 711 N. Second Exit St. in Nicholasville, was arrested Nov. 12 for improper signal and DUI.
