Mary Evans

Mary (WH) Evans, widow of Roy Buford Evans, formerly of Nicholasville, passed away Sept. 18, 2018. Mary was born to the late John and Mary Agnes Hager.

She is survived by her son, Michael Shane (Jan) Hager, daughter Marybelle Fairchild, daughter-in-law Valerie Evans Isaacs, sister Helen Graham, eight grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mary is preceded in death by her son Mark Anthony Evans, son-in-law Espie Fairchild, Jr, and granddaughter Hope Hager.

Services will be at Betts and West Funeral Home, on Friday, Sept.21, at 1p.m. Billy Peel will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Camp Nelson.

Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today at Betts and West.

Pallbearers will be grandson’s Phillip, Jake, and Levi Fairchild, Mason and Kalen Evans, Jeff and Jack Graham, Johnny Hager, Jack Cooper, and James Roy Hager. Honorary bearer will be Nikki Fairchild.

Beverly Ellis Johnson

July 27, 1933 – Sept. 18, 2018

Beverly Ellis Johnson, widow of Donald Verne Johnson, Sr., passed away Sept. 18, 2018, at her residence.

She was born on July 27, 1933, to the late James Olaf and Irene Inez Butler Ellis.

Beverly was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church and a retired Shipping Clerk for Sargent Greenleaf. Survivors include four children Donald (Sharon) Johnson Jr., Dianna (George) Sorenson, Stephen Johnson and Cheryl Flannery, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one son Robert Johnson, one grandson Brad Johnson and one son-in-law Chris Flannery.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Rev. Bob Blankenship officiating.
