Night market in Wilmore
Wilmore will host its final “Night Market” of the season Today from 6 to 8 p.m. Local shops will have extended hours, plus more than 20 booths of products, crafts and artistry will be set up on East Main Street. Favorite foods from local restaurants and food vendors will be available with nearby seating provided. The Family Center will also be offering an air conditioned play space, nursing in comfort, diaper change and family friendly restrooms.
JCPL CARE career fair
The Jessamine County Public Library, located at 600 S. Main St., will host an upcoming Career Fair “Catch the Vision” hosted by CARE from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. Located in the Jessamine County Public Library meeting rooms one, two, five and six, Catch the Vision serves as a way for students to learn about careers that might be of interest to them. All are welcome.
CASA volunteer orientation Sept. 24
CASA of the Bluegrass will hold a volunteer orientation at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at its office, 473 W. Walnut St., Danville. This event will inform attendees about the work CASA of the Bluegrass does in the community and what it takes to be a CASA volunteer.
CASA (court-appointed special advocate) volunteers are appointed to cases in Boyle, Mercer, Anderson and Franklin family courts to represent the best interests of children in cases of abuse, neglect and dependency. Jessamine DUI offers education program
The Jessamine DUI and Substance Abuse Program offers a 20-hour education program weekly from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. An out-patient program is offered Mondays at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Assessments are by appointment only. Attendees must have a court AOC form, citation and conviction date prior to appointment. Well nutrition hosts Body Recall
Carolyn Walter will teach her exercise class “Body Recall,” from 2 to 3 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday until further notice at The Well Nutrition, located at 123 Orchard Drive. Walters is a 23-year teacher. All are welcome. For more information, call 859-548-8203 or 859-241-3552.
