Bluegrass Community Action holds meeting

Bluegrass Community Action will hold a public meeting to discuss the needs of the community and low income citizens in Jessamine County at the Jessamine Early Learning Village, located at 851 Wilmore Road, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Sept. 13. For more information contact Amber Marshall at 502- 863-9403.

EJMS cheer clinic

East Jessamine Middle School will hold a cheer clinic for pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 8 at Red Oak Elementary School. The school is located at 921 Richmond Ave. Registration will be held from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Cost is $25 and participants will receive a free t-shirt and admission to the Sept. 20 EJMS vs West Jessamine Middle School football game. Fitch’s IGA celebration in Wilmore

Fitch’s IGA and Ale-8-1 will celebrate its long-time relationship from 4-7 p.m. Sept. 7 at Fitch’s IGA located at 102 E. Main St. in Wilmore. Music and entertainment will be provided by Moron Brothers. All are welcome.

Jessamine Classic Theatre presents ‘Oklahoma!’

Jessamine Classic Theatre presents “Oklahoma!” on stage at Bethel Harvest Church, located at 3260 Lexington Road, starting at 7 p.m. Aug. 24, 25, 30, 31 and Sept. 1. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children 13 years old and younger. Tickets can be bought in advance by visiting jctyk.com or at the door.

Well nutrition hosts Body Recall

Carolyn Walter will teach her exercise class “Body Recall,” from 2 to 3 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday until further notice at The Well Nutrition, located at 123 Orchard Drive. Walters is a 23-year teacher. All are welcome. For more information, call 859-548-8203 or 859-241-3552.

Jessamine DUI offers education program

The Jessamine DUI and Substance Abuse Program offers a 20-hour education program weekly from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. An out-patient program is offered Mondays at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Assessments are by appointment only. Attendees must have a court AOC form, citation and conviction date prior to appointment. Dare to be Square

Square Dance Classes from the Down Under Squares will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Jessamine County Fairgrounds blue building in Nicholasville. The first two lessons are free.
