EJMS cheer clinic

East Jessamine Middle School will hold a cheer clinic for pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 8 at Red Oak Elementary School. The school is located at 921 Richmond Ave. Registration will be held from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Cost is $25 and participants will receive a free t-shirt and admission to the Sept. 20 EJMS vs West Jessamine Middle School football game. Fitch’s IGA celebration in Wilmore

Jessamine Classic Theatre presents ‘Oklahoma!’

Jessamine Classic Theatre presents “Oklahoma!” on stage at Bethel Harvest Church, located at 3260 Lexington Road, starting at 7 p.m. Aug. 24, 25, 30, 31 and Sept. 1. Jessamine DUI offers education program

The Jessamine DUI and Substance Abuse Program offers a 20-hour education program weekly from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. An out-patient program is offered Mondays at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Assessments are by appointment only. Attendees must have a court AOC form, citation and conviction date prior to appointment. Square Dance Classes from the Down Under Squares will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Jessamine County Fairgrounds blue building in Nicholasville. The first two lessons are free.
