Jags fall; Colts get home win

The East Jessamine Jaguars fell 34-20 in the Appalachian Bowl to the Clay County Tigers Aug. 31.

The Jags have dropped 1-2 on the season while the Tigers picked up their first win of the season to become 1-2.

Clay County will face Perry County Central Friday, Sept. 7 who are currently 3-0 on the season with all blowout victories. The Jags will play on the road at Lincoln County Patriots, who are currently 2-1, at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The West Jessamine Colts picked up a home win against the 2-1 South Laurel Cardinals 27-25. The Colts are now on a two game win streak after playing their first three games at home. West will play their first game on the road Friday at Russell County.

Russell is 1-1 on the season after losing 36-7 to Casey County at home Aug. 31 and 16-6 to LaRue County Aug. 24.

South Laurel will head to Leslie County to face the 0-3 Eagles.
