Health department presents Kentucky CancerLink with $5,000 contribution

Andrea Brown, health education director for the Jessamine County Health Department recently presented Vicki Booth, executive director for Kentucky CancerLink with a $5,000 contribution through the Jessamine County Breast and Cervical Cancer Coalition’s fundraising efforts within Jessamine County. Funds were raised through a variety of activities which include t-shirt sales and the K9 2K Race for the Cure.
Kentucky CancerLink is an organization providing support to Kentuckians by reducing and/or eliminating barriers to screening, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. KCL trained patient navigators help uninsured/underserved Kentuckians overcome barriers they may face in obtaining cancer screenings and to receiving cancer treatment.
