Sonja Louise Cartwright

Sonja Louise Cartwright, 79, widow of William Earl Cartwright, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018. She was born July 1, 1939 in Scott County, Kentucky to the late Orville Payne and Pearl Carew Payne.

Sonja was a member of Harmony Fellowship and retired from Gulf States paper Company in Nicholasville.

She is survived by a daughter, Robyn Vice Banks; son, Scottie Vice; brother, Tommy (Ina) Payne; sister, Joanne (Guy) Conley; two step-daughters, Julie Gregory and Kim (Mark) Whitehead; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Vice Norris and a sister, Wanda Noel.

Services were held 1 p.m., Monday, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor John Ritchie officiating. Bearers will be Tommy Payne, Daniel Arnold, Bryson Carroll, Earl Banks, Paul Smith and Marc Brewer Sr. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Arnold Clay Cobb

Arnold Clay Cobb, 64, husband of Sandra Beair Cobb, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018 at his home.

He was born on June 1, 1954 in Jessamine County the son of the late Blackey Arnold and Anne Miller Cobb. Arnold was an Insurance Agent of 45 years and a member of Bethel Christian Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Whitney (Russ) Erin Cobb Covert, and Amanda (Kent) Dawn Lykins, and sisters, Martha Fain and Deloris Elkins, grandchildren, Hunter Loss, Madison and McKenzie Long and James Tre Lykins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Ketron.

Services were 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Christian Church with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. The family received friends from noon until the funeral service.

Pallbearers were Don Wilson, Harold Clem, Jeff Reister, David Buckley, Jackie Corman, Adam Connor, Dwight Lancaster and Jonny Gardener. Honorary bearers were Hunter Loss, Tre Lykins, Cowboy, Justin and Travis, Jake Reister, Russ Covert, Eric Foley and Ricky Cobb. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
