Jessamine DUI offers education program

The Jessamine DUI and Substance Abuse Program offers a 20-hour education program weekly from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. An out-patient program is offered Monday at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Assessments are by appointment only. Attendees must have a court AOC form, citation and conviction date prior to appointment. ‘Dare to be Square’ classes offered at Jessamine Fairgrounds

Square dance classes from the Down Under Squares will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Jessamine County Fairgrounds blue building in Nicholasville.

Well Nutrition hosts Body Recall exercise class three days a week

Carolyn Walter will teach her exercise class “Body Recall,” from 2 to 3 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday until further notice at The Well Nutrition, located at 123 Orchard Drive, Walters is a 23-year teacher. All are welcome.

Wilmore to host Summer Concert Weekend

Wilmore’s Summer Concert Weekend is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday on the Wilmore downtown green. Gospel on the Green Friday evening will feature “Won Life,” a contemporary harmonizing gospel quartet from Harrodsburg. Stonebridge on Saturday will showcase “Miss Direction,” playing and singing a variety of pop, soul and jazz.

Both events are free, although donations of canned food for the animal shelter and local pantry are welcome. Food vendors will be on site. The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine.
