Summer is here, and there are several special events getting

ready to take place in our community. Wilmore will host

the Stonebridge Concert Series throughout the summer.

You’ll want to bring a lawn chair and listen to the joy of great

music.

One of the most exciting events this summer will be the

2018 Barbasol Championship hosted by Champions at Keene

Trace in Nicholasville. This event will help designate our area

as a tourist destination and will provide a form of publicity

that we could not afford otherwise. While here, visitors

will explore our vineyards, horse farms, historical sites, and

beautiful downtowns.

Opportunity is on our doorstep and we all must be ready

for a fun filled summer!

Nicholasville Farmer’s Market

Nicholasville Farmers Market, will be open

throughout the summer from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Saturday’s at 717 North Main Street. The market

will have tomatoes, onions, squash, zucchini, red

beets, watermelon, beans, cabbage, jams, jellies,

greens, corn meal, roasted coffees, herbs, plants,

hanging floral baskets, beef and artisans. Free

market shopping bags for those who stop by.

Wilmore Farmer’s Market

A small market in a small town featuring local-only

produce, honey and crafts with a friendly atmosphere

located in the City Hall parking lot on East

Main St. in Wilmore, next to the railroad tracks.

Market will be open throughout the summer 8

a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

July 9-14

Jessamine County Fair

The Jessamine County Fair is scheduled

July 9 through July 14 at the

Jessamine County Fairgrounds, 400

Park Drive in Nicholasville. Enjoy

favorites like the Music City Brass

Band, greased pig contest, truck

& tractor pulls, livestock competitions,

carnival rides, Hoof-A-Nanny,

pageants and more. Admission is

High Bridge

Homecoming Festival

The 14th Annual High Bridge

Homecoming Festival will be

held Saturday, August 18 and

Sunday, August 19 at historic

High Bridge Park, located

approximately 10 miles from

Wilmore, Kentucky. The festival

will feature live entertainment,

food concessions, displays, model

train exhibit, free children’s

activities such as pony rides and

“art in the park,” silent auction,

raffles and crafts by local artisans.

2018 Barbasol Championship

When the Barbasol Championship comes

to Kentucky this summer, it will be the first

time in almost 60 years that the PGA TOUR

has made a regular stop in the Bluegrass

state. The Barbasol Championship will be

played July 16-22 at Champions at Keene

Trace, the first of a four-year commitment

to the Nicholasville course.
