New engine for Nicholasville Fire Department fleet

The Nicholasville Fire Department welcomed a new engine into its fleet Monday.
After what Fire Chief Mark Case said was an “opportunistic purchase,” the engine will serve as a replacement for the old engine one, which will now be known as engine seven and will go into a reserve status.
“Buying that truck actually saved the city money,” Case said. “It was a smart purchase on the city’s part.”
