EJMS announces student of the month

— Sixth-grader, Haylee Deering, daughter of Hope and Danny Deering, is described as a special young lady. The school staff reports she works her hardest every day, no matter how difficult the assignment. She is described as kind-hearted and always looking out for her friends and classmates. Haylee is a joy to be around and always helpful to her fellow students and teachers. 

— Seventh-grader, Jayden Blackaby, daughter of Heather and John Blackaby, is described as an extraordinary student who is a role model for all of her peers. She is active in her academics and in the Spanish club. She reportedly always completes her assignments above what is expected, and diligently seeks the opportunity to expand her knowledge. Most importantly, the staff at East Jessamine Middle School say she is always kind to her classmates and shows the utmost respect for her teachers. She is described as a true joy to teach. 

— Eighth-grader, Ridge Rutledge, son of Ashley and Timothy Rutledge, is described as an outstanding student throughout the whole school year. He is also described as a hardworking and driven student who always puts forth his best effort in everything he does. The staff at East Jessamine Middle School report he is thoughtful and actively helpful, often thinking of others. His teachers describe him as dependable and trustworthy. Ridge is also an artist, performing in the EJMS band. Ridge’s dedication and positive attitude have made him stand out as a role model for his classmates, school staff says.
