WJHS competes in Class 3A Region 7 Track and Field events

West Jessamine High School competed in the Class 3A Region 7 Track and Field Championships recently at Madison Central High School.

Athletes who won or finished second in their event automatically qualify for state. . 

Both the boys and girls teams placed third overall in the regional meet. 

Regional champions in their event:

100m hurdles — Anna Hylen

100m dash & long jump — Jamesy Swentzel

Girls 4×400 Meter Relay (SCHOOL RECORD TIME) — Edie Meyer, Isabel Peterson, Madi Hawley, Ella Miller
