Lexington man arrested for DUI,

informs officers he has taken methamphetamine

Austin Stuban, 22, of 419 Reva Way in Lexington, was arrested March 23 for DUI, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers were called to Speedway on North Main Street concerning a suspicious person by the gas pumps.

Upon arrival, officers found Stuban in a vehicle pulling away from the property. According to the citation, Stuban was trying to “elude officers by the manner in which he was driving.” Turning on to Asbury Drive, Stuban turned of his head lights, hit the brakes, then turned his head lights back on and activated his turn signal, according to the citation.

Stuban was described as manifestly under the influence, having no control over his body, having slurred speech and appearing lethargic.

Stuban reported using methamphetamine in the last 72 hours. A field sobriety test was performed, which Stuban failed.

In his vehicle officers found a scale, spoon and needle. No substances were located.

Stuban refused to a blood test at St. Joseph Hospital telling officers he would fail the test because at that time there were three substances in his system, according to the citation.

Stuban was arrested and housed at the Jessamine County Detention Center.

Nicholasville man arrested for DUI,

taken to hospital for treatment for heavy intoxication

George Marshall Dominick, 46, of 108 Leatherwood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested March 24 for DUI and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers received a call about a reckless driver all over the road south bound and that had pulled into Etter Drive. Officers eventually located the vehicle parked behind Little Caesars pizza.

The vehicle left the parking lot after seeing the officers pull in, and allegedly was seen swerving and running off the side of the shoulder of the road until finally stopping on KY 29 in front of Elmer Stevenson Drive.

Officers found multiple beer cans in the back seat of the vehicle and a cup with beer in the cup holder.

Dominick was described as being unsteady on his feet when exiting the vehicle and having slurred speech. A field sobriety test was performed, which Dominick failed.

Dominick was taken to St. Joseph Hospital, where he received medical treatment because of his level of intoxication, according to the citation.

Lexington man arrested for DUI,

tells officers he had  ‘mucho beers’

Santos Lopez-Cortez, 28, of 4057 Mooncoin Way Apt. 8108 in Lexington, was arrested March 26 for speeding 26 mph over the speed limit, DUI, reckless driving and possession of an open alcoholic container in a motor vehicle, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers observed Lopez-Cortez traveling southbound on US 27 driving 86 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Officers attempted to stop Lopez-Cortez on Howard Drive. He did not pull over and continued traveling southbound until he finally came to a stop on Imperial Way.

Lopez-Cortez exited the vehicle without being told to do so, and was detained. He described as unsteady on his feet.

Lopez-Cortez told officers he did not speak English very well, and understood very little, according to the citation.

Lopez-Cortez then allegedly told officers he had “mucho beers.” A preliminary breath test was given, with the result of .207.

An open Heineken bottle was found inside the vehicle cup holder.

Lopez-Cortez was placed under arrest and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to the citation.

Lexington man arrested for DUI after being observed driving off road into grass

Zachary M. Broadus, 23, of 420 Woodview Drive Apt. A in Lexington, was arrested March 28 for DUI, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers received a call about a reckless driver traveling east on US 169, and conducted a traffic stop after observing Broadus drive off the road into the grass, according to the citation.

Officers attempted to perform a field sobriety test, but Broadus allegedly told officers he could not stand.

Broadus had slurred speech and difficulty keeping his balance to stand up, and allegedly told officers he had three alcoholic beverages.

A preliminary breath test was administered with a result of .108.

Broadus submitted to a breath test with a result of .114, and allegedly vomited during the initial observation, according to the citation.

Broadus was arrested and transported to the Jessamine County Detention Center.

Nicholasville woman involved in accident arrested for DUI after allegedly smoking marijuana

Shelbie Grace Staton, 18, of 105 Old Wilmore Road in Nicholasville, was arrested April 1 for DUI, according to a citation issued by the Nicholasville Police Department.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle non-injury collision, which Staton was involved in. Staton was interviewed and officers said she smelled like marijuana.

Staton admitted to smoking marijuana prior to driving and a horizontal gaze test was administered.

Based on clues given by Staton, she was arrested and transported to St. Joseph Hospital for blood testing after which she was taken to the Jessamine County Detention Center.

—Ace J. Hudson, 29, of 116 Bermuda Ave., was arrested March 24 for failure to appear.

—Brian S. Dugan, 51, of 325 Young Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested March 24 for failure to appear.

—Anthony Joseph Henry, 46, of 1153 Fisher Ford Road in Lancaster, was arrested March 27 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.

—David E. Begley, 36, of 121 Carriage Lane in Bulan, was arrested March 27 for  theft of indentity of another, criminal possession of a forged instrument, theft by deception including cold checks under $500, failure to appear and a parole violation.

—Rosie Lee Elliott, 52, of 2080 Logana Pike in Nicholasville, was arrested March 27 for contempt of court.

—Trent R. Davis, 25, address unknown, was arrested March 27 for non-payment of court costs.

—Caleb Bell, 24, address unknown, was arrested March 28 for contempt of court.

—John Timothy Hisle, 51, of 210 Foxwood Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested March 28 for failure to appear.

—Sara B. Colegrove, 30, of 102 Staton Court in Nicholasville, was arrested March 28 for non-payment of court costs and failure to appear.

—Gill Morris, 28, of the Jessamine County Detention Center, was arrested March 28 for failure to appear.

—Charles Ratliff, 59, of 1081 New Circle Road Apt. 40 in Lexington, was arrested March 28 for third-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree wanton endangerment. 

—Meraj None Muhammad, 38, of 117 Floyd Court in Nicholasville, was arrested March 29 for fourth-degree assault minor injury.

—Mathew Ryan Dinsmore, 23, of 102 Silver Fox Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested March 29 for speeding 17 MPH over the limit and DUI.

—Mathew V. Osbourn, 30, 709 N. Main St. in Nicholasville, was arrested March 29 for second-degree escape, theft by failure to make required disp. of property, tampering with prisoner monitoring device and failure to appear.

—Ricky Jerome Johnson, 37, of 107 N. Macarthur Blvd. Apt. 267 in Irving, Texas, was arrested March 29 for theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $10,000.

—Kimber Garrett, 29, of 607 Longview Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested March 30 for second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree terroristic threatening and endangering the welfare of a minor.

—Brandon Welsch, 25, of 127 Garnett in  Nicholasville, was arrested March 30 for a parole violation.

—Melisa Burkhardt, 45, of 100 Habitat Court in Lancaster, was arrested March 30 for failure to appear.

—Sasha Renee Brooks, 29, of 2053 Mackville Road in Harrodsburg, was arrested March 30 for failure to appear and a probation violation.

—Jimmy Brim, 34, address unknown, was arrested March 31 for receiving stolen property $10,000 or more.

—Johcobbie N. Jones, 38, of 100 Maple Leaf Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested March 31 for fourth-degree assault minor injury, failure to appear, possession of marijuana and first-degree promoting contraband.

—Catherine P. Hornie, 53, of 720 Riverwood Lane in Lexington, was arrested March 31 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.

—Ronald C. Potter, 30, of 111 Honeysuckle Court in Nicholasville, was arrested March 31 for fourth-degree assault no visible injury.

—Joanie L. Keith, 35, of 109 Leann Drive in Nicholasville, was arrested March 31 for DUI, second-degree wanton endangerment and possession of a alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

—Scotty D. Estes, 45, of 105 Asbury Drive Apt. C in Wilmore, was arrested March 31 for failure to appear.

—Brandy A. Cress, 35, of 126 Florence Court in Nicholasville, was arrested March 31 for failure to appear.

—Bryan T. Lunsford, 21, of 120 Robroy Lane in Nicholasville, was arrested March 31 for receiving stolen property under $10,000.

—Karri Short, 41, of 650 Tower Plaza Apt. E13 in Lexington, was arrested April 1 for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
