She earned a degree from Eastern Kentucky University in animal science and agriculture management and has served in diverse work backgrounds such as a full partner in a beef cattle, tobacco and hog farm, a veterinary assistant and has also owned and operated her own business.

“A magistrate is the face and voice of the district on the fiscal court, “ Walker said. “As your magistrate, I will represent your wishes, concerns, opinions and suggestions. I am a conscientious listener and an effective communicator and I will be a strong advocate for the 5th District, ensuring fair and equal treatment in all areas of public service.”

“I understand the job responsibilities, duties and limitations of a magistrate and I promise to serve with honesty, integrity and accountability,” Walker said. “Being a single mother who has raised and put two children through college, being fiscally responsible is not a political slogan to me. It is a lifestyle. I have a genuine love for Jessamine County. This is where I have chosen to live and raise my family. I know that with careful planning we can preserve our rural environment, our unique character and our rich history ensuring Jessamine County will be a place that our future generations will be proud to call home.”
