Special needs event announced at Jessamine Christian

Jessamine Christian Church, located at 130 Courchelle Drive, will have a special needs event from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 23.

The event is open to all ages and will include activities for special needs individuals and McDonalds happy meals for those who attend. For more information contact Barbara Rendel at 859-223-4307.

Empowered to Connect event coming to Wilmore Free Methodist Church

Wilmore Free Methodist Church, located at 1200 Lexington Road, is hosting a free simulcast of the two-day Empowered to Connect Conference, presented by Show Hope. The conference, which runs from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on April 13-14, features practical teaching to equip families, churches, teachers, and professionals to better serve children impacted by adoption, foster care, and early trauma.  Professional CEUs and foster care training hours are available.  Please register at Eventbrite.com.

Brookside Baptist announces Easter egg hunt

Brookside Baptist Church, located at 1351 Wilmore Road, announced it will host an Easter egg hunt from 4 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 31. The event is open to children ages 2-12. On Easter morning, April 1, sunrise service is scheduled for 7 a.m. and will serve as a joint Sunrise service with First Baptist Church of Nicholasville, and will be located at 200 S. York St. Breakfast will follow the service. Those who attend are invited back to Brookside Baptist Church on Easter morning for Sunday school at 9:45 a.m., with worship scheduled for 11 a.m. All are welcome.

Community-wide Holy week services

Nicholasville Christian Church, located at 104 S. Second St., announced a community-wide Holy week beginning March 26-30. Sponsored by the Jessamine Ministerial Association and hosted by Nicholasville Christian Church, services will begin at noon and will be followed by lunch. All are welcome. Edgewood Baptist Church hosts concert and announces Easter service

Edgewood Baptist Church, located at 717 S. Main St., will host its Maundy Thursday Service at 5:30 p.m. on March 29, which includes a meal, worship and the Lord’s Supper. Easter Sunday services are scheduled for April 1 at the following times: 8 to 8:45 a.m., morning service; 9 to 9:45 a.m., breakfast; 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., Sunday morning Bible study; 11 a.m. to noon, Easter celebration service. All are welcome.

Catholic faith classes offered at St. Luke Catholic Church
