Nicholasville Christian Church announces Holy Week

Nicholasville Christian Church, located at 104 S. Second St., announced its Holy Week will be March 26-30. Services will begin at noon and will be followed by lunch. All are welcome. For more information, call NCC at 885-4311.

Edgewood Baptist Church hosts concert and announces Easter service

Edgewood Baptist Church, located at 717 S. Main St., will host its Maundy Thursday Service at 5:30 p.m. March 29, which includes a meal, worship and the Lord’s Supper. Easter Sunday services are scheduled for April 1 at the following times: 8 – 8:45 a.m., morning service; 9 to 9:45 a.m., breakfast; 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., Sunday morning Bible study; 11 a.m. to noon, Easter celebration service. All are welcome.

Salvation Army hosts woman’s bible study

The Nicholasville Salvation Army hosts a women’s Bible study from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday mornings at 205 S. 1st St. All are welcome. For more information, call Kim Ball at 859-227-1153.

Low-impact exercise at Providence Christian Church

The Providence Christian Church, located at 101 Providence Way, hosts a “Bodies in Motion” low-impact exercise class every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. All are welcome.

Free bread for those in need on Sundays at Saint Athanasius

The Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, located at 100 Lime Lane, offers free bread from Panera Bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area every Sunday from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. All are welcome.

New Hope Fellowship Church hosts Parkway Baptist Church

New Hope Fellowship Church, located at 1451 S. Main St. in Nicholasville, announced it will host Parkway Baptist Church from Barboursville, Kentucky, featuring Pastor Jerry Vaughan at 6 p.m. March 17. All are welcome. 

Bethel Harvest Church food distribution event

The Bethel Harvest Church, located at 3260 Lexington Road, announced it will host a food distribution the fourth Saturday of every month from 10 to 11 a.m. The event is free to all Jessamine County residents who present a county ID.

New pastor at High Bridge Church of the Nazarene

High Bridge Church of the Nazarene, located at 115 Old Saw Mill Road in High Bridge, announced Emmitt Jackson of Lexington as its new pastor following the passing of Harold “Moose” Horton who pastored the church from 1969 to 2015. Services are 11 a.m. every Sunday. All are welcome.

Nicholasville United Methodist offers free meals on Saturday

The Nicholasville United Methodist Church offers a free meal from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday. Meals are served at 303 West Maple Street in the Community Center. All are welcome.
