fter a few months of gathering content, we officially have our business directory in-house for the residents of Jessamine County to enjoy.

We set out this year to bring the community stories pertaining to community, commerce and collaboration. Inside you will find welcome letters from several officials in Jessamine County, as well as one from myself.

Stories focus on the improvements in Jessamine County schools, economic development, tourism, the local Chamber of Commerce and the changes happening with the Nicholasville Police Department.

The staff and myself went to work highlighting several important changing and growing factors in the community to bring you the most up to date information possible. We also brought you many pictures within the community we hope you will love and wrapped it all up with a list of local businesses and attractions.

Although we strive for perfection, our hope is that if your listing is left out you will contact us and let us know for next year’s edition.

Coming hopefully sometime next week is the newest edition of the Jessamine Life magazine.

This was my first magazine I have been a part of since moving to Kentucky and it was like coming home for me. Starting my career off as a journalist writing for a local magazine in California, it was fun to go back to my roots and work to bring you the best magazine I can with the little bit of time I have been in the county.

I look forward to everyone picking up the latest edition of both Jessamine Life and Thrive and taking a further look into our additional publications. Taking a step away from our normal day to day activities putting out the weekly newspaper, it was fun to roll up my sleeves and branch out bringing you more feature stories about the people surrounding you in the town that you live in.

I hope you reach out to me with feedback and suggestions for our next editions, and hope you all enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed putting them together and writing all the great stories within.
