West Jessamine High School AP Physics 1 engineered an egg drop which took place on Feb. 9. The maximum size of the contraption built by students was 11 inches on any side. “The purpose of the challenge was for students to increase the impact time which will lessen the force of impact,’” said WJHS teacher Mark Rush. “Students also had to design a poster explaining the physics principle as well as their scientific methods.’” Shown here are Isabella Messenger and Alexa Meza.
