Jessamine Historical Society announces monthly meeting
The monthly meeting of the Jessamine Historical and Genealogical Society is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018. In honor of Black History Month the society announced its speaker at this months meeting be Dena C. Green, CWDP: JSS from Dover, Mason County, Kentucky. She will be reporting on the Sroufe House, now her home, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places because of its association with the Underground Railroad.
YMCA announces weekly classes
The YMCA, located at 220 East Maple Street in Nicholasville, announced it will host a Zumba class at 6 p.m. Monday evenings, as well as a Chair Yoga class at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. All are welcome. For more information please call 859-885-5013.
West Jessamine High School announces girls youth basketball training league
West Jessamine High School will offer a youth training league for those interested in basketball free of charge. The event will take place from 9 – 10 a.m. on Feb. 10, 17, and 24. Located in the gym at West Jessamine High, 2101 Wilmore Road in Nicholasville, attendees are asked to enter through blue doors by the tennis courts. Girls in second through sixth grade are welcome. Wilmore TOPS holds Thursday meetings

Al-Anon 12-step program hosted in Wilmore
Al-Anon 12-Step program is currently hosted in Wilmore at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Wilmore United Methodist Church located at 209 E. Main Street.. Al-Anon meetings are for those troubled by another’s alcohol or substance abuse. For questions please contact 859-327-8130.
Wilmore Senior Center hosts weekly events
The Wilmore Senior Community Center, located at 1125 Lexington Road, hosts scrapbooking with Sharon Campbell at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday’s as well as Flex Exercise with Aureol at 11 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. All are welcome.
Piece Quilters meetings at Nicholasville Christian Church
