The Family Center, located at 334 East Main Street in Wilmore, has announced the following events for the month of January:

Is My Food Making Me Sick?

Emily McGlone with LexStart Nutrition presents a worksop on food sensitivities including LEAP and MRT diets. As a Registered Dietitian she is qualified to use medical nutrition therapy to improve nutritional status. Bring your questions and get answers. Donations suggested.
Sunday, Jan 28
Informational Session on Volunteering with TFC
3 p.m.
Lend a hand and become a friend of The family Center. Please register by calling 270-403-6488 and talk to Tara.
Single Parenting Power!
5 p.m.
A weekly meeting for parents like you! Parenting without a partner. Everyone is welcome! Meal provided with laid back atmosphere. Lots of time for eating and talking while kids of all ages have something to do. Donations suggested.
Monday, Jan 29
Preschool time!
10 a.m.
A skill based play group helping families engage in a little edu-fun every day. Our Monday morning meeting allows parents to help their children (ages 3 to 6) with early literacy, math, and science, both gross and fine motor skills. Giving them ideas to try at home. Donations suggested.
Crunch Time!
Noon
Join our natural parenting playgroup each Monday for conversation, support, and information. This is a great place for those curious about natural childbirth, breastfeeding, baby-wearing, cloth diapers, or other natural parenting practices. Donations suggested.
Wednesday, Jan. 31
Play Time! Dinosaurs
10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
All types of caregivers, all ages of kids, all kinds of fun, every Wednesday! Each month is a new theme for the play area so there’s always something and someone new, and January is dinosaurs. Toys, puzzles, books, and games all reflect a prehistoric theme. Donations suggested.
Thursday, Feb. 1
Zumba
9:30 a.m.
Everyone is welcome, but especially parents of little children. They will enjoy the near by play area. Don’t let anything keep you from your New Years fit goals! Donations suggested.
Night Owls Time! Open House
6:15 – 7:45 p.m.
Come check out this play group.
