Jessamine County Clerk Johnny Collier presents a check to Thomson-Hood Veterans Center for $20,000. The funds were collected by donations made by clerks throughout the Commonwealth. By selling birdhouses made from discarded license plates, Kentucky’s county clerks are able to provide funds that directly benefit the residents. Those in attendance were:  Spencer County Clerk Lynn Hesselbrock, Veteran C.D. Moore, Fayette County Deputy Clerk Pam Hill, Veteran Tony Ritchey, Thomson-Hood Veterans Center Administrator Ben Sweger, Jessamine County Clerk Johnny Collier, Woodford County Clerk Sandra Jones, Bourbon County Clerk Richard Stipp Eads, and Jessamine County Deputy Clerk Perry “Buddy” Teater.
