The fourth annual St. “Nich” Christmas Festival, presented by the Jessamine Chamber of Commerce, will be hosted on Saturday, Dec. 9   in historic downtown Nicholasville.

The day will begin with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Nicholasville Rotary Club at Culver’s. The rest of the day will be filled with plenty of family fun and activities that include shopping, make and take crafts, singing, running and parade watching. Don’t forget to bring the ugliest sweater you can find to participate in the Ugly Sweater 5K.

There will even be fun opportunities for your furry friend at the Shelter Pets’ Christmas Open House at the Jessamine County Animal Shelter.

The day will also include with plenty of opportunities to watch Christmas favorites, including “Elf” showing at the Jessamine County Public Library, “The Grinch” showing at Catalyst Church and special Comedy Christmas performances by KCAL Old Time Radio Hour at the Polvino Family Art Center.

Ugly Sweater 5K Early registration deadline

Saturday, Dec. 9

First Street from Maple to Walnut will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. for food vendors. Main Street from Frisch’s to Kroger will be closed from 4:30 pm to 7 p.m. for the Ugly Sweater 5K and the parade.

Please plan accordingly and use caution when traveling the Main Street and Maple Street Corridor, there may be increased foot traffic throughout the day.

The pancake breakfast will be $5 per person. Proceeds benefit the Rotary service project — scholarships for Jessamine County residents.
