Weekend accident leads to fatality
The Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office worked its second highway fatality of 2017 on Saturday.
According to authorities, a two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of U.S. 68 and Hwy. 169 that claimed the life of one person.
The accident reportedly occurred at around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 when a 2004 Honda Civic driven by Mary Haydon, 70, of Lexington and a BMW driven by Cindy Hall, 54, collided.
Both drivers, along with Linda Hall, 76, of Nicholasville, who was a passenger in the BMW, were transported to UK Hospital by Jessamine County EMS. There, Haydon was pronounced dead.
The accident remains under investigation by the Jessamine County Sheriffs Office.
